about

Produced by Rav. P out of New Jersey
Short tales about some real life experiences.

lyrics

It could of been me, on TV, that you see…with all the felonies OR name on white sheet, with tags of rest in peace.
Life in the NJ streets, wasn't the worse yo, Low populations of Blacks, we seemed curse though
Mom had to hold her own, she chose hard work, Buses down South Jerz, every summer, the car broke
Wasn't the poorest, and we wasn't hood rich, But the lack of the greenery gave us a good whiff,
Of the hopes, and the dreams, and skemes that seemed to be far fetched, Mom's could of lost her life up in that car wreck
My role models, guzzled bottles by the minute, I was 12 years old, and a joint, they let me hit it (HUFFING SOUND)

Manuevered through madness, Remember checking out my man Lewis, We were building on corner one day under influence
He told me, life had taken him outta the gang, Mentioned how he's kind of tired of living life on a string
I gave him credit, said it's crazy how we function, You never know, whose making threats, and really busting
He spotted heads across street by number 6, giving us the evil eye, He told me chill don't make it tense
Think they're affiliated members downtown, and there's only bad news that follows when they around..
I guess they set the time on someone else's claw, Saw them chase away some kids, and killed a rival down the block, ( DAMN)

One day I was feeling alone so I chose to take walk to arcade from home
Wasted a five playing Raiden vs Kano, Vision wasn't focus, night almost turned fatal
Grabbed my boom box headed down to Main Ave, Blasting Killarmy with my corn rolls and durag….
Got confronted by a fake black cop, He accused of being a dealer who sold rocks…
I Felt shocked, when he reached for Adam's apple, Thought that night that I was headed to my fathers's castle
But I survived with some scars and lost pride, plus the tears in my eyes, Couldn't tell you reasons why…….(CRYING)

HOOK:
I DEAL WITH THE NIGHTMARES, THE PAIN THAT"S RIGHT THERE,
IT"S COLD AS THE NIGHT AIR…. IS LIFE FAIR??

WHEN FEELING ALRIGHT, yeah IT SEEMs that we might tear, ain't nothing alright here
IS LIFE FAIR?
